Al Harris, or Alshinard, was born on December 7th, 1974 in Pompano Beach, Florida. He attended Blanche Ely High School in Pompano Beach, Florida. Then he spent two years at Trinity Valley Community College in Texas before being transfered to Texas A&M University. He was drafted in the 6th round of the 1997 NFL Draft by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Harris, however, failed to make the roster and was cut his first year. His second team was the Philadelphia Eagles where he played 5 seasons with. in 2003 he was traded to the Green Bay Packers and has had an excellent career. His 2009 season was overal pretty good until he had a season ending injury.
