Season One

Lorelai enters Luke's Diner where she begs the owner for another cup of coffee. This is where it all begins. The first season deliveres a glimpse into the enchanted town of Stars Hollow and it's most excentric characters. Rory, a sixteen-year-old girl, starts at Chilton High School where she faces Tristans, Parises, Ds and deers. Lorelai, her 32-year-old mother, is the manager of the charming Independence Inn. Their lives are filled with coffee, laughter, snow and friday night dinners with the estranged grandparents.

Season Two

After getting back together with Dean, Rory is more than ever geared towards her goal: attending Harvard University. It gets harder to concentrate once Jess, Luke's rebellious nephew, arrives in Stars Hollow. He shares Rory's love for books and taste in music. Dean has some competition. Lorelai's engagement to Max lasts for a little while, after which she decides that he's not the man for her. Her friendship with Luke deepens, as they get to know more of each other, at the diner, or under a hoopa.

Season Three

The third season is a year of choices and new beginnings. Rory applies to college and chooses Yale over Harvard. She also chooses Jess over Dean. Lane chooses to follow her dream of becoming a drummer, joins a band and meets her first love, Dave. A newly married Sookie is pregnant with her first child, while Christopher has his second daughter. Lorelai faces a challenge after a fire destroys the Independence Inn. What can she do now?

Season Four

This transitional season received mixed feelings from critics and fans. Rory leaves Stars Hollow to embark on the journey that is Yale University. She finds herself in close quarters with none other than Paris Gellar, and her life coach Tarence. Lorelai is in the middle of renovations for the Dragonfly Inn. She also juggles a relationship with her father's new business partner, Jason Stiles. Luke adjusts to the life of a divorced man.

Season Five

Rory continues her studies at Yale University, where she meets the young Logan Huntzberger. She is taken on a whirlwind of new experiences with him and the Life and Death Brigade. Lorelai's relationship with Luke is blossoming, and Emily can't keep her nose out of it. Richard and Emily spend some time appart. The Dragonfly Inn is going strong, and the residents of Stars Hollow are as crazy as ever.

Season Six

Things start on a sour note for the Gilmore girls. Rory's decision to not go back to Yale drove her and Lorelai appart for some time. Rory now finds herself living with her grandparents, under Emily's watchfull eye, while Lorelai buys herself a small Paul Anka. Luke gets an unexpected visitor and finds out he has a daughter he never knew about. This news becomes an obstacle in his engagement with Lorelai.

Season Seven

Lorelai's life is turned upside-down. Her long engagement to Luke comes to an end after he refuses to elope and she finds comfort in Christopher's arms. How could a relationship that was destined for greatness be destroyed so quickly? Rory also faces relationship changes since an ocean now separates her and a London-bound Logan. Lane's pregnancy jump starts her marriage with Zack.
