Do you want to know what goes on at a DECA competition? Check out this five minute video explaining all about DECA
DECA is a business and marketing school club. It involves students competing in teams of 1 or 2 as they present solutions to business and marketing problems. Students also compete by taking exams on specific business topics. Both the presentations and the exams are practiced in marketing classes as well as the DECA practices.
Our DECA club meets a few times for practices and parties and then we compete on Saturday, January 10th for our first major competition. EVERYONE in DECA competes at this DISTRICT level.
The results from this competition determine who advances to our next level – the state competition – and those results determine who competes at our national competition in Anaheim, California.
The cost to be in DECA is $30.00. This covers the $10.00 dues that Preble DECA pays to the National Organization and the $20.00 fee to compete at our first competition on Jan. 10th.
Each student can either pay the $30.00 fee or sell 3 Entertainment Books.
